In 1982, Korea's first baseball season, Gam Sa Yong becomes a picture because of the only reason that his team doesn't have left-handed pitcher. His team, Sam-mi Superstars ironically doesn't have any superstar players so they ranked at bottom and Gam Sa Yong degenerates into the pitcher who winds up most-likely-losing games. One day, the team has match with the real superstar team OB Bears and no one wants to be a pitcher at the game. Gam Sa Yong volunteers to be a pitcher, hoping to get his first winning game.
